Project Engineer Job Description
Architectural Environments, Inc. is a construction services company that has 30+ years of experience performing high-end commercial, biotech, pharmaceutical, and laboratory projects throughout Eastern Massachusetts. We are currently seeking a motivated Project Engineer to compliment the management and field teams on various projects. This junior position will assist with providing exceptional project delivery to a long-standing client base, while maintaining safety as a top priority.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist project managers/superintendents and act as both office and field support
- Assist with jobsite safety paperwork as required, including COVID-19 protocols
- Assist in compilation of daily project field reports
- Assist in project logistics plans
- Attend project meetings
- Record project meeting minutes and distribute to team members
- Process transmittals, submittals, and RFIs
- Assist in preparation of project bid packages/proposals
- Assist in procurement of project materials
- Compile project close-out documents and assemble turnover packages
Qualifications
- Degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or similar background preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Experience with AutoCAD, ProCore, and Microsoft Project
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents/specifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients
- General knowledge of building codes
- Experience with building department interface desired
- Must have good interpersonal skills and a desire to learn
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in conditions that may require walking/standing on hard surfaces for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to lift/move objects up to 25 pounds
- Ability to occasionally ascend/descend a ladder
