Chris brings a broad range of industry knowledge to the AEI team. Having a background in both architecture and construction helps to bridge the gap between the many aspects of modern construction delivery methods. Since starting with AEI in 2007, Chris has gained significant depth in his construction knowledge, specifically in the biotech sector. Currently, Chris acts as AEI’s on-site representative at Biogen’s Cambridge, MA manufacturing facility. Chris helps to liaise between Biogen’s in-house facilities department, engineers, QC and QA representatives, manufacturing end users, and various contractors for large construction projects as well as general facility maintenance and inspection preparation.
Chris also acts as AEI’s Safety Director; conducting reviews of safety plans and job sites, inspecting personal protective equipment and tools, hosting company-wide safety training sessions, and ensuring that the company’s commitment to providing an incident-free workplace is upheld.

For almost 20 years, Jon has managed many of AEI’s largest and most technical projects. Spending the majority of his time with biotech/pharmaceutical clients, Jon has combined this focus with previous pharmaceutical construction experience at a multi-national company to compile extensive knowledge and understanding about the unique construction and maintenance needs of that industry. Given the typical structure of these clients, they require a multi-dimensional partner company that can handle complex cleanroom projects, multiple classifications of lab construction, dirty mechanical jobs, daily maintenance requests, and all the common support areas that exist on a corporate campus. Jon is proficient in all such assignments and everything in between. Ranging from GMP manufacturing process installations to sensitive lab environments to high-end corporate office fit-outs, the versatility of Jon’s experience reflects the comprehensive capabilities of AEI.
As Director of Operations, Jon is responsible for managing the day-to-day functions for the company, scheduling resources, client account management, project controls oversight, and implementation of all AEI strategic initiatives. He is the chief liaison between field and office operations, ensuring that all project execution aligns with company policies and objectives.
Jon’s recent project accomplishments include managing several GMP manufacturing renovations at Biogen’s Cambridge, MA campus, mechanical infrastructure replacement/upgrades at NECO in Boston, MA, a series of lab renovations at Genzyme in Waltham, MA, and development of a new services account at Lantheus Medical Imaging in N. Billerica, MA.
